Monica is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. She holds a Masters of Clinical Psychology with Distinction from Western Sydney University and achieved the Deans Merit List. She has also completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and is a member with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Monica is incredibly passionate about the clinical work that she undertakes with her clients. She is an integrative practitioner, as she uses a variety of approaches to ensure the therapeutic work is meaningful. She is well-versed in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-Informed practices. She uses body-based frameworks such as Polyvagal theory and systems-based approaches to broaden her practice. Monica practices through a Dialogical lens, acknowledging that each client’s story is unique and requires a collaborative approach for best outcomes. Monica is purposeful about creating a safe space for clients to feel heard and respected.
Monica works with children, adolescents and adults of any age experiencing a wide range of presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, personality disorders and interpersonal difficulties. She is a recognised provider for Veterans and their families under the Department of Veteran Affairs, as well as with Medicare for Focused Psychological Strategies under a Mental Health Plan.
Monica is available for appointments via telehealth only on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings 7-9pm.
