Monica has been practising as a psychologist for over 25 years. She has worked in a range of settings including community mental health and as a specialist consultant in private practice.
Monica enjoys working with a diverse range of presentations including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, disordered eating and substance use. She enjoys working with individuals. Helping people with parenting issues is another interest of Monica’s.
Monica has a special interest in trauma and has written a group treatment program for people with difficulties with emotion regulation using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She is highly skilled in working with self-harm. Monica also has an interest and expertise in eating disorders. Working with young persons with early psychosis has also been recognised as a specialty of Monica’s.
Treatments provided by Monica include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Mindfulness.
Monica is a registered provider of services with Medicare. She is a Board Approved Supervisor of psychologists.
Monica is available Monday and Tuesdays including evenings.
