Helena is a Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years of experience. Helena has worked in the public, private and university sector. She holds registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Fellow with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Helena is a full member of the College of Clinical Psychologists with the APS and a Board Approved Supervisor.
Helena works with a wide variety of clinical presentations including mood disorders, anxiety, stress/adjustment difficulties, emotion dysregulation, self-harm and self-esteem issues.
Helena is incredibly passionate about the clinical work that she undertakes with her clients. She is an integrative practitioner, as she uses a variety of approaches to ensure that the therapeutic work is meaningful. Helena is well versed in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and trauma-informed practises. She uses body-based frameworks such as Polyvagal theory and systems-based approaches to broaden her practice. Helena has completed additional training in body psychotherapy, ego state therapy and clinical hypnosis.
Helena is warm, down to earth and passionate about young people and adults with life transitions, mental health challenges and helping people reach their full potential using a tailor based approach within her broad experience.
Having lived abroad, Helena recognises the difficulties with the migrant experience and transition.
In her spare time, Helena enjoys tennis, dancing, walking and spending time with family and friends.
Helena is available Thursdays and has evening appointments. She is fluent in Greek.
