Clinical Psychology Registrar/Psychologist

Elissa is a warm, empathic, and passionate psychologist who is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and non-judgemental space where individuals from all backgrounds can feel truly heard, understood, and supported. She takes a person-centred approach, empowering clients to build self-understanding, resilience, and to achieve meaningful change within their lives.

Elissa has experience working with a variety of age groups and presentations, including anxiety disorders, depression, stress, trauma and PTSD, self-esteem issues, personality disorders, self-harm, psychosis, chronic pain, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. She is proficient in trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Elissa also has experience providing support to people who identify as LGBTQI+, as well as to neurodiverse individuals.

Elissa works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of presentations. She values inclusivity, authenticity, and collaboration within therapy, tailoring her approach to the unique needs, preferences, experiences, and strengths of each client. Elissa holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University, and general registration as a psychologist from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

In her spare time, Elissa enjoys reading, painting, gardening, and being outside in nature.

Elissa is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
