Abbey is a psychologist with general registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Clinical Psychology Registrar. Abbey holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (with First Class Honours) from Western Sydney University.
During Abbey’s clinical internships and work experience, she has worked with a variety of age groups, cultural backgrounds, religious backgrounds and presentations. Her experience includes trauma related disorders, mood disorders, suicidal ideation and self-harm, anxiety related disorders, psychosis, stress related concerns and neurodivergence and adjustment issues. Abbey has a particular interest in working with children and families, having worked in schools in both mainstream and support classes, as well as assessing children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental presentations. She takes a client centred, individualised, trauma focused approach, and is proficient in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. It is of the highest importance to Abbey that people feel heard, understood, cared for and empowered in her practice.
In her spare time, Abbey enjoys going to the beach, reading, hanging out with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
Abbey is available Monday and Tuesday, including evenings.
