Grace is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with the Psychology Board of Australia. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and graduated with merit on the dean’s list. Prior to completing her postgraduate studies, Grace was working overseas in the Singapore mental health scene.
Growing up in Singapore where mental health is rarely talked about and stigma is rampant, Grace is a strong advocate of self-compassion, validation and empowerment. She is known by others to be warm, safe and assuring, yet competent and skilled. Grace specialises in mood, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, grief, anger and personality disorders. Specifically, Grace is passionate about helping her clients unpack traumatic or difficult events and master skills to better engage in the values and life that clients envision. Knowing that people are often by-products of their contexts, Grace emphasises the need to understand dynamic interactions between the individual and environments.
Trained in evidence-based approaches, Grace practices Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Schema Therapy. Grace has worked in both hospital and private practice, having experiences working with individuals with a variety of presentations across all ages. Grace sees individuals, families and couples for therapy. Grace is currently seeking professional development for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.
Grace is a registered provider with NDIS and Work Cover. Being culturally diverse, Grace speaks proficient Mandarin on top of English. When she is not working, Grace enjoys playing with her dog, exercising, spending time with her husband, listening to music or simply chilling at home catching up on Netflix.
Grace is available on Telehealth on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
