Fili Perdikaris
Registered Psychologist

Fili is a registered psychologist with an Honours degree from the University of NSW. She has over 30 years of clinical experience in various settings including community mental health, child, adult and family teams, psychiatric outpatients, psychological rehabilitation and in the private sector. In both private and public settings, she has provided individual, couples and group therapy.

Fili has a psychodynamic framework within which she uses various modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and attachment theory. She has a special interest in using mindfulness strategies in her therapeutic work.

Fili is experienced in working with depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, fears and phobias, trauma, peri-natal depression, grief and loss, pain management and relationship issues.

Fili works with adults in individual therapy and couples in relationship counselling. Presenting talks on psychological health and wellbeing is important to Fili. She has appeared on SBS radio as a guest speaker on mental health issues. Fili provides a safe and warm therapeutic space in which people can explore their issues and challenges and gain the skills to work on emotional change in order to reach their full potential in life.

Fili is a dedicated and passionate practitioner and has a collaborative approach to therapy. She has respect for each person’s unique set of circumstances in life and works with their strengths and values to empower them as they work towards change.

In her spare time Fili sings in a choir, does yoga and socialises with her friends and family.

Fili is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fili is an approved provider for the Workcover scheme.

Fili is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays including evenings.
